I, as a Young Student

Back in 2007, when I enrolled in architecture, I was confused and distracted. To be honest, architecture wasn’t my first choice—it was more of a substitute for engineering. But once I joined and struggled through the first year, reality set in. I didn’t have the financial means or the luxury to change my path. So, I made a decision—to give my 100% and build a career in what I had chosen. I was fortunate to have seniors who guided and inspired me. Over time, I developed discipline, focus, and a sense of organisation that changed everything. Those same habits still support me today as I manage two architectural practices across different countries. They’ve been the quiet backbone of my journey—from a lost student to a young entrepreneur building something meaningful.

Exposure to New Zealand

My journey in New Zealand began in 2016 as a student at Unitec, studying Construction Management—and grew into becoming a permanent resident and practicing architect. It was an exhausting yet transformative path. Learning a completely new system—the architecture, building codes, council processes, materials, management styles, even communication—pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. Living, studying, working, and eventually running an architectural firm in New Zealand shaped not just my career but my entire outlook on life. That exposure refined my sense of professionalism and deepened my respect for ethics, both professional and social. I’m proud to continue practicing the values and lessons gathered from that chapter—they’ve become part of who I am, and how I build, teach, and lead today.
